Well, if you haven’t done it already, you all really need to get out there and pick up the newest EQ2 expansion, Sentinel’s Fate. SF has added another huge chunk to the world of EQ and comes with more fun little toys than you can shake a gnome at.

Of course most of these goodies are for those of us at high levels, and come at high level prices. Nothing is cheap, nevermind free, and you’re really going to have to stock up on plat to get any of the really good stuff.

A serious downside to expansion launches is that every place out there seems to jump their prices on plat. There are good reasons for this of course. WHen the new expansion comes online, the GMs are going to be even more vigilant than usual where plat buyers are concerned, and everyone gets a little nervous. In order to combat the loss of available plat that comes with the paranoia their suppliers develop, they up the bounty on the plat, which ups our prices a little.

The only real exception I noticed was Mogs.com. Their prices moved, but not much. Their prices are still really good, and you can get 150 plat for under $50 easily there. And with the suppliers they use, your purchase is still guaranteed 100%. So while everyone else is running up their prices, Mogs is trying to do the best they can by their customers and their suppliers.

So, with that in mind I decided to make a little buy of my own. That 150 was just to good a deal to pass up. With my current stash of plat, that gives me enough to get some of the new gear that I was looking forward to.

As usual, I got a confirmation call within about 5 minutes of placing hte order. The rep let me know that things were running a little slower than usual due to the increase in order volume from the expansion. Even so, it was oinly going to be about 45 minutes before my order was ready. Not bad all things considered. That gave me some time to line up some of the items I was going to spend my plat on. I got a pleasant surprise about 30 minutes later when someone dropped me a message to meet them. So off I went to get my plat, and from there to do some serious upgrading.

Anywho, buy plat safely, and have fun with the new areas!

Anticipation and EQ2 plat

9th February 2010

Hey again everybody.

Well, here we are only a week before the next expansion launches for EQ2! I dont’ know about the rest of you, but I’ve really been enjoying all of the pre-launch stuff that they’ve been doing. Now I’m just drooling in anticipation of the release of Sentinel’s Fate.

Of course, with a new expansion, the market for anyone looking to buy plat is going to fluctuate pretty heavily in the next few weeks. I’ll try to keep some sort of tally about who’s got the best prices out there, at least among trusted names.

This brings me to something that I should mention to everyone out there planning to stock up. Whenever a new expansion or major patch drops for any MMO, you run a serious risk of getting scammed. New places will open up on launch day that will claim to have awesome prices and blah blah blah. They’ll spam just about every place they can to get noticed and lure in as many suckers as possible. DON’T BE ONE OF THEM!

For right now, I’d advise sticking with safe and familiar places for your purchases. It’s tempting to go after what looks like a great deal, but you just can’t be too sure with an expansion on the horizon.

I’ve recommended Mogs.com many times in the past, and I’m going to do so again. They are one of the safest places out there to buy eq2 plat, and their track record shows it. Plus, they’ll be ready for any new sort of security that the devs at EQ headquarters have planned for sniffing out plat buyers. I haven’t come this far only to have my precious plat or character taken away. Not with all of that glorious new content coming out!

Anyway, now is the time to keep a low profile and play everything as safe as you can. Feel free to buy, just make sure that the place you’re buying from can be trusted. Me, I’m going to stick with Mogs for the time being. I’ll let you know if anything new comes up after the dust settles.

Later.

Hello again!

Welcome to 2010! A new year means new opportunities for fun and adventure in EQ2. I’ve really been working my rear off trying to get some new gear and skill masteries. Getting the funds for this is never easy, so I’ve placed a couple orders over the last couple of weeks for some plat to really get me going. This did get me thinking that it’s been a while since I talked about how to handle buying plat safely.

So, here’s a refresher course on how this sort of thing should work.

First, a couple of don’ts:

Don’t buy the plat in large quantities. Most sites offer better prices the higher you go, but this also can put you on the radar for a suspension if they find out. It’s better to buy smaller quantities over time. Although you end up paying a little more, there are places where you can buy plat with good enough prices that it won’t matter anyway.

Don’t talk about buying plat! It’s the same as Fight Club - the first rule is, we don’t talk about it. The chats are always being monitored for that sort of thing, just like they are for spam. And if the GMs don’t catch it, other players who don’t feel the same way we do about it might, and they can report it just as well as a GM.

On the other hand…

Do pay attention when you place your order. Make sure you’ve selected the correct server and given the company your character name so that they can deliver it properly. Spelling matters here, with as many people playing as there are.

Do look for a money-back guarantee (like the one at Mogs.com). Places that offer one of these are willing to put you, the customer, first. That means better prices and safer delivery methods.

Also, use common sense. If a deal looks too good to be true, it probably is. Most of us heard what happened when Blizzard dropped the 3.1 patch on WoW. Dozens of players who had used shady gold farmers were suddenly banned and companies disappeared overnight. It’s better to find a US based company who offer realistic delivery times instead of hyped up claims from a website you can barely read.

Take it easy out there!

Hey everyone!

Sorry I’ve been out of touch for a while.  The long summer really kept me busy outside (those trails aren’t going to blaze themselves, after all) and I couldn’t help but take advantage of the nice weather.  At least until it disappeared about a month ago.  Since then I’ve been getting things reorganized and what not so I could get back in the blogging game.

Enough about me!  I hope everyone out there had a great Frostfell this year!  I know I did.  I’m really excited to start catching up with my guild again.  It turns out that a 8 month break from a game really can make a difference.  So, in order to make up for lost time, I’m going to place a couple orders over the next week for some plat.

Since I’ve been out of the loop for a bit I’m not 100% sure that I want to try a new place out this month.  A lot of new companies have sprung up lately, and some of them don’t look very reliable.  So today I’m going with an old standby.  Prices at Mogs.com are really good right now anyway, so I figure I may as well take advantage of it, right?  Plus, they’re offering a special deal right now to celebrate new year’s!

Just go to the site and use coupon code PARTY when you process your order.  They’ll give you 10% off right then and there!  Talk about awesome!

Like I said, I’m way behind in my gear, so I’m going to place a pretty big order today.  I figure 200 plat should cover me, for a little while anyway.  I may have to get more soon since I have a lot I need to do.  Normally, that would run 81.20, but with the deal running right now, it’s only 73.08!

So, I placed my order about 3 minutes ago and I already have my email!  It says my order should be ready in about 20 minutes.  LIke I’ve said before, I’m  not very patient, so I’m going to log in right now.  Lo and behold, my plat is already waiting for me.  It would seem that Mogs.com has stood the test of time and is still a great place to buy EQ2 plat.

Buy Eq2 Plat….Like Now!

26th April 2009

Hey folks!

It’s been a busy month - I’ve been spending some good time with the guild and getting a good amount of loot. There’s a few things I’ve been wanting to pick up in-game lately and there’s no time like now. One of the things I try to do pretty consistently now that I run this eq2 plat blog is constantly check prices around the various websites we buy from and review for you here. Right now I’m noticing a downtrend in pricing; it’s pretty low - I was just on the Mogs.com Eq2 Plat page and have noticed they are now selling 50 Plat for 21$. These swings in prices are common - and when you find plat being sold for a good price from a safe and reliable store like this you should snatch it up.

Today I’m going to actually buy 150 plat for slightly more money :D but I’ve been needing some gear and upgrades lately and the rest of my guild is passing me up - time to catch up :D

I’m placing the order for 150 plat, and instantly got an email telling me that my order is ready!

I’m going in game now to check - and there it is!

Another great experience and for the time being some lower prices from Mogs!

Hello Everyone!

Time surely flies :D
As you probably now know, if you’re a loyal follower of course, we’re pretty big into Eq2 around here. The game has posted several updates lately and we’ve been pretty excited about playing them. As such we haven’t really been around to throw up a new blog in the past two weeks or so. So what we’ve done (and yes we’ve still made a few EQ2 Plat purchases) is go with a name we trust, and have used for the past few months when we’re looking for EQ2 Plat and not wanting to get our britches scammed off. That name is Mogs.com.

We’ve reviewed lots of plat selling websites here, some with good results, some with not so good results. Mogs.com has been a site that has given us a good experience each time we’ve tried it. We’re thankful for that and we’re thankful for having been able to direct our readers to a company with that kind of track record.

So with the lack of an official review this week we’re going to just remind people that we have had some good experiences at Mogs.com for EQ2 Plat and if you’re looking to buy that is probably the first place you should stop and look.

We’ll be returning to our regular review process next week just as soon as we’re able to get one of these new fire elemental horses *grumbles about dying on the beach too much*.

Anyway thanks for reading and see you soon!

Evening Folks.

Tonight it’s another article on buying Eq2 plat . What we’ll get into is “why” you might want to, and a few very important safety tips.

The first item we are going to focus on is the “why”. There are many different reasons why you would want to buy Eq2 plat, so we’ll cover a few of them tonight. If you just started playing Everquest 2, you would have very little equipment, and little to no in game currency. By buying Eq2 plat, you would then be able to purchase yourself some decent equipment and spell upgrades, which would aid you in leveling more rapidly. You would also be able to upgrade your equipment and spells as you leveled, so you can continue to level quickly.

Perhaps the chief motive people have for purchasing Eq2 plat is time. Many people who play have families and full time jobs, or they’re in school full time, with hours of homework every evening. That doesn’t exactly leave a whole lot of time for truly playing for fun, let alone trying to get needed plat for item upgrades/spells, or even tradeskill materials. By purchasing Eq2 plat, you leave the time you do have for the more important parts of the game, such as hitting your favorite TSO instance to get those final shards for that awesome range slot item you have been lusting after for some time, or you can get those final mats needed to *finally* level your carpenter to 80, so you can start decorating your house (and even get those rare harvests you need to make that furniture for your decorating). You might also want to use some of that extra time saved for spending with your family!

If you’re here, you are probably looking to purchase some Eq2 plat. If this is your first time there are a few simple things you can do to keep yourself safe from scams, as well as from possible suspensions and/or banning. (This is also a good refresher for you Veteran Eq2 plat buyers out there).

In order to keep yourself safe when buying EQ2 plat, you need to research the best places to buy from. You want to find a company that is reputable, known for their safety measures, and has good reviews. Also be sure that they provide guarantees and 24 hour support. I highly recommend that you do not use any seller that asks you to use a money transfer service (i.e. Money gram, Western Union), as they are assuredly a scam. One place we have purchased from previously with first class results is Mogs.com. Once you have decided on where to purchase your plat from, by following these few simple steps, you can greatly reduce the risk of an account suspension or ban.

When purchasing the gold:

  • Don’t go overboard. If you’re new to the game, and your character is only level 25, don’t go buying huge quantities of plat, as this will surely put you on the radar, for getting your account investigated. Instead, consider purchasing a smaller quantity at first, and purchasing a bit more later.
  • Be sure that you select the proper server, and have included the name of the character that you wish to receive the in game currency; you also want to make certain that the name is spelled correctly.
  • In Game:

  • Don’t go telling people in the game that you’ve bought gold. You may just tell the wrong person and they will report you, fill out a petition, prompting a GM to take a closer look at your account, which will likely result in a suspension or banning.
  • Thanks again for reading, I hope this information is helpful, and that your next purchase of EQ2 plat goes smoothly!

    What a Great Morning!

    17th February 2009

    Greetings, and good morning Readers,

As you know we are always probing the net for safe and cheap websites where you can buy Eq2 Plat. It is highly unusual that they ever come looking for us.

After going through my usual morning routine this morning, I got online to check my e-mail. To my astonishment, there was a email from the management of Mogs.com thanking us lavishly for our recent review of their website and EQ2 Gold selling abilities.

They were so elated with our good review that they offered up a special 5% DISCOUNT code, good until 2010, for anyone who came from this website to theirs. What a extraordinary and generous way of saying thank you to us for giving them such a great review, and to our readers for striving to find the finest Mogs.com to place your order. On the last page where it asks for a coupon code just enter:

    Coupon Code: VIPONLY

To get 5% taken off your order instantly!
If you have any trouble at all, please don’t hesitate to use the contact us page on the menu, and we will do everything we can to get it worked out.

    Thanks and happy reading!

    Hi everyone,

I thought this week I would run down the actual process of buying EQ2 plat and how it works, for those of you stumbling on the site looking for guidance.

The very first thing you need to do is decide on how much plat you want to buy, then do some comparison shopping at the various sites. Prices do vary like any commodity, and will even be different from server to server depending on each server’s unique economy.  (One site you might check for starters is Mogs.com, we have used them before and been happy with delivery time and pricing.)

When you’ve found a supplier that you think you can trust, you will select your server, and the amount of plat. You will be asked for your credit card and EQ2 account information, so make sure it’s a secure site. Depending on the site, you might need to talk to a real person on the phone to confirm.

This is where the magic happens. After a variable wait (depending on the site you chose, and also the amount you’re dealing with—usually between 5 and 30 minutes, but up to 48 hours in some cases) you have your shiny new plat!

Pretty easy huh? So get out there and buy EQ2 Plat like there’s no tomorrow! Heh, just kidding, be careful and shop around  :) Till next week….

Hello again, guys and gals! I had a wonderful Christmas vacation—full of the the 3 F’s, family, friends, and food— and I hope you did, too. I’ve been super busy but I’m back and wanted to share this interesting bit of news that came out recently regarding the EQ2 player population. There was a study of thousands of EQ2 players, and it found to everyone’s surprise that females made up 40% of the player base. This is good news for all the girl gamers out there who resent the stereotype that all mmorpg players are overweight white guys, and really, good news for gamers in general. A study like this shows people outside the gaming sphere that there is a real variety of people playing these games, and not all of them fit the stereotype.

A BBC article on the study said that while single-player games of the past were certainly more popular with males, the new trend in social online games has a strong attraction for women. That doesn’t mean that gaming has become a mainstream activity, however, and one statistic in particular demonstrates that the women playing the game are not locked into traditional gender roles—the percentage of women surveyed who identified themselves as bisexual was over 5 times the estimated percentage in the general population.

Perhaps not surprisingly, a large portion of the women said that they played with a significant other, and played more for social reasons than to win. The times, they are a’changin’! And for the beter, if you ask me! So here’s to all you gamers out there, and this week, a special nod to the ladies. Stay tuned for EQ2 plat reviews and all that good stuff next time…and have a happy and safe New Year’s!

    Hello again everyone!

I hadn’t originally planned to post again until the weekend; but I ended up getting some spare time today - so my time is your gain.

This week I wanted to try a new site that I haven’t really tried before. I found one within about 3 minutes of searching(go google ads). They promise under 6 hour delivery times and have pretty competitive rates - on a side note they also say they are 100% American - who knows about that.

The website is Mogs.com and the going rate is 20 Plat for 25.61, this might of course change by the time you read this.

I think the best way to do this is post what I have written now; and then I’ll post a follow up with my ranking when I get the order. (P.S. Order placed at 8:40 AM Mountain time - we’ll see how long it takes to get it)

    ====================================

    Got The Order

That was INCREDIBLY quick - I guess they carry stock on EQ2; I’ll give you the exact run down on how dealing with this company worked.

    1. I placed the order - first time order.

    2. I got a phone call from a 100% U.S. person just to confirm it was me that placed the order.

    3. The person told me they had stock and it would be delivered within 15 minutes.

    4. (Me not liking to wait for anything) By the time I even logged in it was there and waiting for me.

As far as customer service and delivery of the product go I don’t really think this website is going to be beaten by anyone, short of telepathic customer service reps these guys are about the best there is out there.

I’m going to review another site mid next week but I’ve got to give a big hats off to Mogs.com for this weeks review. This is how a company that sells eq2 plat SHOULD treat their customers.

    A+

Mogs.com is a great place to buy EQ2 Plat

Things have been going pretty well in the world of gaming lately, I re-rolled a new character and I’ve been loving it; it’s a class I haven’t played before so obviously there is a learning curve.

I’ve been running low on plat again and been thinking about making a purchase; luckily for me I logged in this morning, and the owner of a site we have previously reviewed shot me an email because he liked the review!

In it he included a discount code for any of our readers who want to make a purchase, and I think I’m going to use it too! haha

I think most EQ2 prices and sites are pretty stabilized, there doesn’t seem to be much fluctuation in that anymore and most of the sites seem to have about the same prices. So something I like to monitor extensively is weather or not a website is SAFE, how fast the delivery is of the plat ordered, and then like their customer service, site ease of use etc.

Previously we have ordered from Mogs.com (The place that we just got a discount coupon code for) and have been pretty impressed.
I think for this weekend review I’m going to just buy from there and use the discount code to get a % off my purchase. Here’s the info for the coupon code; you just use it at checkout:

    The code is: VIPONLY
This code will give us 5% off any purchase

    Hey guys, (and gals!)

Hope you’re liking the weather wherever you are and getting lots of good gaming in. I know we’re all enjoying Frostfell, EQ2’s very own Christmas celebration. Norrath is getting cozy and festive with new crafts, quests, and snowball fights. I’ve been checking out some of the new holiday quests they put out this year, as well as taking one of my newer characters through the classic ones. Lost a toe to frostbite playing in the snow, but it wasn’t one I cared too much about :P Also picked up some new recipes to try, so all in all it has been an entertaining and busy holiday for me.

I got me some EQ2 plat last week using the coupon I told you about from Mogs.com (thanks guys!) and have been steadily spending it so I can buy more EQ2 plat (what a rough life I lead!) but haven’t yet decided who my next target will be for review. Stay tuned next week for some hints on buying EQ2 plat safely and without getting ripped off. Happy Holidays!
